I love Easter. Candy.. Candy.. Candy! I seem to always go overboard with the candy then we are on sugar highs for weeks. I think I bought more chocolate this year because
it's easier to eat with braces than the other chew goodness of peeps and jellybeans.

She was also excited to open a few presents before her "real" birthday but was a little confused that she wasn't official "6" yet just still "5". She got a High School Musical purse from my SIL Jen and she loves carrying all of her stuff in it. Also she got some great clothes from Grandma. With her clothes and her purse and new sunglasses that she got she looks like she is turning "16" not "6".

I don't really talk to my kids about how there is a Easter Bunny. Actually I don't even mention it. I just kept saying as a threat "would you like surprises in your basket?" They would respond "yes I would so I will be good." I thought it was funny on Sunday when a friend of ours asked my kids if they got anything from the Easter Bunny? Jersey looked at me real funny and said "Mom did the Easter bunny come?" I shrugged my shoulders and she replied "Yes "she" brought me a Hello Kitty notebook" I laughed because she was so confused. She turned to me and said "mom there really is an Easter bunny and you didn't give me anything in my basket it was her"
I think Easter should be more about Christ and his sacrifice for us. I had some pretty profound thoughts of his love for me. But that is for another day when I want to share.
On the Saturday before Easter we got together with Mike's family to color eggs and have a birthday celebrations for three little girls. My niece's Harley and Lilly also share an April birthday with Jersey so it's crazy to have three parties so we tried combining this year. My SIL, Jen, made a "egg" cakes for each girl and we had a family dinner.

Jersey was great at coloring eggs. But she loves to color them blue. I think it's funny because it's every year blue eggs.

Jersey and Phe looked especially dapper in their new Easter threads. Their outfits are actually for Megan's up coming wedding but I thought it would be nice to use them for Easter too. Phe will actually wear white pants for Megan's wedding. Jersey loved wearing her dress. She was a
little wary of the sleevlessness. So we had to get a cardigan and she had to wear tights no sandals. I don't know where she comes from sometimes because she likes to be covered from head to toe.

Of course Mike and I had to take a picture one our classic poses but unfortunately you don't get to see my outfit. But I know you all know I'm hot.(hahahaha)
