Temple Lights and Good Food

The weekend before Christmas we went Downtown. Megan came with us and in the morning she helped the kids make a Gingerbread house. They made a great house. (the next day I noticed candy missing courtesy of Phoenix)

When Mike got home that night we went downtown. We were all so hungry so we tried a new restaurant down at the Gateway called "The Counter" I had seen something on this place on T.V. saying they had fried pickles and that is all I could think about so I knew I would have to go and partake of the fatty goodness. The place was so much better than I expected a little pricey but the food was great. They had the fried pickles along with the best fries and onion strings I have ever had. We also built our own burgers which was great as well. After eating all of that I thought I would be full but I could have ate more.

After dinner we walked to tracks and took it to Temple Square. The place was packed. But since we were there so late people were leaving. After being there for less than 5 minutes Jersey was asking if we could go home. She was cold. I would agree it was bitter cold. But we only do this once a year so we went on our way. We took pictures saw the nativities and then walked into the Joseph Smith Memorial building. I love going in there. The place is always decorated so beautifully.

We hop back on tracks and went home. A good family memory.
