My dad took me to his eye Dr. and it was confirmed that I needed some glasses.
There my journey began with all the many pairs of glasses that I have had.
There my journey began with all the many pairs of glasses that I have had.
*
First*-The black frames that were metal, I thought I was so cool because I got them in the little kids section of the optometrist office. Um yeah not so cool. But they did the job.

*Second*-Were some tortoise round frames. I didn't like them at all so there aren't a lot of pictures of me wearing them
*Third*-Next came the gold frames. They were stylish at the time. I thought they didn't make my face look so dark like the black frames. Of course like hair dos I got bored with those.
*Fourth*-came my Claire's special. $8.00 for fake glasses. Because this style of frame wasn't
popular at the optometrist so I asked if they could put my prescription in my new frames. Of course they gave me some garbage about the glasses not being sturdy to hold up to their heat and if it didn't work they weren't responsible. I took that risk they were $8.00 of course. These glasses took me into my married years. I loved my glasses. I wore them more than I wore contacts. Then one day I was getting ready and I set my glasses on my bed and you can guess what happen next Mike broke them. I was so sad. It had been a few years since I had those glasses and so the style of course wasn't the style anymore so trying to replace them was really hard.
*Fifth*-After the heartbreak of my favorite glasses I started looking into getting new glasses. Even
though I wore contacts the majority of the time I like having glasses for at night when my eyes were to tired. While searching for new frames I found some new frames at Mervyn's in the sunglass section. They were red with rhinestones. Oh yeah I looked so cool, again I got the same garbage from the eye place that they might not be able to fit them to my prescription but they weren't that much. It really came down to not wanting to pay for overpriced frames and lens for something that could possibly break or I would have to replace because my eyes changed. Well that is what happen to the red rhinestone glasses. After I had Jersey my eyes changed and I had to get new glasses.

Sixth*-My new ones were well nothing special. I went back to black frames. I thought I would look good in them. I did but I didn't love them as much as the others. But they worked for what I needed them for.

*Seventh*-Then after I had Phoenix my eyes changed again. I knew again that we didn't have the
money for me to spend on new glasses. So I had always liked what this girl in high school had done. She had put her prescription in her Arnett pink sunglasses. I just so happened to have my own pair of pink Arnett sunglasses that I didn't wear so I opted to have my lens put in those. I loved wearing these glasses but the problem was that they were thick and hard to wear for a long period of time. Plus I always got a bad glare when wearing them. This started to bug me more when I realized at my new job that I had to wear my glasses. Contacts weren't cutting it. I think because now I'm staring at a computer longer or I'm sorting paper. The sorting paper was actually why I considered new glasses. It was because when I was sorting my eyes felt really dry and my contacts started to not feel good.

Eighth*-Today I picked up my new glasses. They are still pink, they are rimless and the also they are the clearest thing I have seen out of in a long time. I think they have some type of magical powers. They are suppose to be good when I work on the computer and for driving at night. Two things I have to do everyday. The downside of these new things is that they were a pretty penny. Since my prescription hasn't changed in three years I felt it was safe to get some new glasses that would help me out. Plus I needed to use up some money on flex spending account. I asked Jersey today if I look smarter she said "no" I think I do look more sophisticated. Mike said I just look older, maybe like a grandma. :)
