Snow Haters nightmare!

For a few weeks at the beginning of November. Everyone in UT, was beginning to wonder if winter was ever going to come. People said that it was because of Global Warming we hadn't seen snow. The Weater people would predict crazy blizzard storms that were to come and leave us in a mess. Well those storms never panned out. They would fizzle out and we would end up with rain. Now, I was totally excited. Finally after all these years I was going to have an AZ Christmas in UT. NO SNOW. Well those hopes and dreams were shattered last week when a storm finally came and put some inches down. Then the second storm came on Saturday morning. I was still not going to believe that is was going to be a bad storm. Until I couldn't leave my house on Saturday one because my tires on my car were balding and it wasn't going to be good on the snow. Second because the driveway was covered in at least 5" of snow. They kids and Mike of course were truly excited as for me, not so much. Granted I do think snow is nessary for this area because we are always in draught condition but does really have to snow at my house and lock me in all day?

When Mike came home that night he was a dutiful husband and shoveled the walk and driveway. Of course because the kids were in the house all day they wanted to go out and "help dad" Phoenix didn't last to long but Jersey did a good job shovelling.

So the next storm is to hit tonight. I hope I don't die driving on the roads tonight. I did get new tires so that I can get around now. There is no excuse to lock myself in the house all winter long. No matter how long I will live here in UT the snow when it comes will never get old nor how I will hate it.

I don't know how you live in it. I think I would get clostraphobic not bring able to go anywhere because I was trapped in snow. I will live and die in AZ. But it would be fun for Christmas to have snow... Then that's it!!!

Wow, the snow is so beautiful! It must be so exciting to get to live in it now... at least until you are stuck at your house & can't go anywhere! When I lived in UT for a winter I had my VW Bug and the doors would freeze shut!!! I ended up walking or taking the bus all winter... Good times. :)
