On Thursday Mike and Jersey both stayed home from work and school. It was really nice for all of us to be home together. I had a list of things that we didn't get done the day before so Thursday morning we were up and moving early to get those things done.
One thing on the list was to move our furniture in our bedroom around. Then we wanted to move the children's furniture around as well. Plus it was a good excuse to do some deep cleaning in their rooms.
Let me back up a bit before I go any further with this. A few weeks ago I was cleaning said children's rooms and in Phe's I found a bottle of black acrylic paint. I was curious to know what he had painted since I found no object or paint brush. I scolded him and told him that he can't use mom's paint.
Back to present or Thursday. We are cleaning up Phe's room and Mike is getting ready to move the bed and I'm ready to wipe down walls when we discover a dried up paint brush with paint all over it. Then we find the object that got the new paint job.
The object was a box that my Dad had given me when he came home from Qatar. I did at one point have box displayed but the children found better uses for it, as a laptop, treasure chest and Lego's holder. The box is now covered with black sparkle paint and a rhinestone.
When we asked Phe why did he paint the box? He said, " Because I wanted to make it AWESOME!" Mike and I busted up laughing. What do you say to that? How can you get made at that sort of response? After the laughter we told him that if he wanted to paint he needed to ask for help before doing that again and not paint things that weren't his.
