I love Christmas. I love it because of the following reasons, shopping, madness of finding the perfect gift, children's excitement, Christmas music, delicious treats, serving others, reading the Christmas story, watching classic Christmas movies, quoting Buddy Elf and using Elf speak in daily use, crazy Christmas sweaters, Believing in Santa Claus, feeling my Savior's love, my favorite thing,
bundling up and walking around Temple Square with all the thousands of people to look at the beautiful Christmas lights.
As a kid I loved walking around the Temple in Arizona with all those thousands of people too. I loved looking at the lights, even though they were them same every year. I loved the feeling I had being there. That is the same way I feel today when we go to Temple Square.
We don't have many nights that we are home together. Last Sunday, the forecast looked great for some good times to make down at Temple Square. We hurried and ate our dinner and put on lots of layers and headed downtown. We got a perfect spot.
I love that Mike can parallel park.
I never learned in Driver's Ed. Ay Que rumba car number 7,
We were on a mission to take to some splendid photos of ourselves to use as Christmas cards and to put in our family video. There were so many people with the same idea. Of course our camera couldn't capture the splendour and beauty of everything that our eyes could behold. It was a magical time.
I especially like it when we passed a statue of Joseph Smith and his wife Emma. Jersey said to us, "Dad you stand like Joseph and mom you stand like Emma and I will take a picture." Mike was embarrassed and that I was teaching our children about how to pose with statues.
(the kids and I did that this summer, they thought it was funny.)
After walking around and feeling the nip in the air we headed home.
Until next year when we make the trek downtown to see the Christmas lights.

I totally took Drivers Ed at mesa high summer school. I had the Ay Que Rumber hollared at me several times as well. I laughed out loud when I read that. Totally forgot about it. You guys look great.
Your pictures are beautiful. I love looking at lights. They never get old to me.
I am not great at parallel parking either, so it's a good thing it doesn't matter a whole lot here in Mesa!
