On October 9th, I ran in a race with my bff Sarah and my two SIL's. We ran the Love your body race at Thanksgiving Point.
It was a great race my PR was broken and it was fun to cheer on my SIL Jen as she finished her first ever 10k. The weather was cool and the place was packed with Women and their families to support them. 1800 women ran the race. It was crazy because the miles weren't marked, the water stops were to far apart and at one point the 6k people met up with the 10k people on a small path that got all jammed up.
After the race I was sore. I rubbed my legs with some biofreeze. Took some pain reliever and just laid around. The pain got worse. My leg and hip hurt so bad. I stopped running. I went swimming and that didn't seem to help at all.
I had to make the decision to go to the chiropractor or suffer more. I made the choice to go. Mike didn't think that it was worth it. I mean if you think about my body has been through a lot in six months with all the races and training I have done. But I knew if couldn't run in my last race if I didn't get some help.
It's amazing how I feel from a week ago. My body still hurts in the morning but I can walk without limping and my back feels good.
I still haven't ran. I wanted to this morning but mother nature {bless her heart} has dumped snow on the ground and continues to right now. I need to hit the gym ASAP.
6 more days until the Half Marathon. It's going to be awesome.
