Running log

I have 25 days! 25 days! until my half marathon. I'm excited and nervous all at once. I have a long time to have those feeling inside of me. That makes me want to train harder.
Saturday (25th) My schedule said that I needed to go 7 miles. So I went 7 miles. It felt great. I was so happy that I went that far. That was the most I had ever gone 6.5. When I was telling my SIL about running 7 miles and that the next week I was going to run 8 miles, she said well you have only three weeks until the race you need to up your mileage more than a mile. She said you should try going 10 miles.
Since we have a bunch of hills around here. I didn't want to run 10 miles and have to run part of it up hill back home. I planned out my route that had some hills but that part home would be downhill. Plus Mike wouldn't have to pick me up. Well when I told Mike my plan he didn't like that one of the roads I was planning to run on had no sidewalk. So I had to re-think my plan.
My other SIL wanted to go running on Saturday so I made a plan that we could met up and then finish my run together. Mike would pick us up at the end. We made plans to met at the library. I told her I would be there at 7:45pm well, I was a bit slower than I had planned. I was carrying a water belt on me so I think that slowed me down a bit. While she waited she ran up and down the road. We met up and finished our run.  Her five miles really turned into 8 miles and I did 10.2 miles. Mike was waiting for us with water and towels. I felt good after the run but after showering my body was hurting.
My SIL's and I are running in a race next week. It's an all Women's race. We are doing a 10k. I think it will be really fun. It's suppose to rain and be really cold. Yeah Fall is finally here.
I sure wish though with all this running, I could lose some weight. I keep hearing I have to give up the chocolate. I don't think I can do that. I have limited myself to two bars and just handfuls of M&M's, not a bag. That is improvement right?
Though I hate starting the run the feeling after wards is nice. (Well not the sore legs.)

You're going to do awesome in your race. I think the training is the hard part because it lasts so long. The race will be over in a few hours. Right? :)
