Home of the brave

What a great country we live in. Where we are free. I love that we can have the pursuit of happiness, life, liberty. So I said it backwards but it's crazy to fathom the many things that we have and we take for granted. I have lived in another country where this type of freedom isn't found. I feel bad for those that don't know true freedom.

Some of the fun things we did on the FOURTH are:

Mike ran in 10k race. We went to cheer him at the finish line.(He finished 98th overall and was 16th in his age group for men. Way to go babe) Went to the West Jordan parade and saw the cops come to break a huge girl fight. (the fight was with moms not dads or kids) Went swimming with an hour left at the pool. (Mike thinks it's funny that I have to go swimming every year on the 4th but it's the only day that seems like the hottest day of the summer. If the temperature is less than 85 degrees you won't catch me at the pool.) Had a BBQ with Mike's family. Great food and pee your pants conversation. Watched fireworks from his parents backyard.
