An accident then comedy

I went swimming with Heather and her girls. I wanted to show Lilly how to do a dive off the diving board. She was just finishing up her two weeks of lessons so I thought that I could give her a few pointers. Well I did a hurdle and when I was jumping to the end of the board my hurdle leg(my left leg) slip off the board. Then my right leg collapsed because my ankle bent. So I fell face forward into the pool. I was a little confused by what happened. Lilly was behind me on the board and she was like " Rhiannon you just fell off the board" I got out the the pool and limped back to my towel with all of my pride wounded. The Lifeguard asked if I was ok. I was trying to act strong. he asked what happened. I said I didn't know I just fell. Well, I sat out of the pool for the rest of time we were there. I was so hurt. I could barely walk to my car. I got the kids home and just laid on the couch. I had called mike to tell him what had happened. He was in disbelief that I could fall of the diving board and be that banged up. SO it didn't look to bad on Wednesday. But Thursday oh man it was bad. I could barely walk. Not only did I scrape up my right leg but I bruised the muscle that is my thigh muscle. But you can't see it on the outside of my leg it's more an internal bruise. I walk like a gimp as of now. I went to work on Thursday and people were asking all sorts of questions because the bruise goes from the middle of my thigh on my left leg past my knee where there is a huge not and down my leg. My left foot also has a great big bruise on it too. So after telling the story about 50 times to my co-workers. It's not to much of a tragedy but a comedy. My pride is still hurt but now I know that I'm not that 18 year old that could do those sorts of things nor am I less then 100 pounds. I guess I didn't know my own strength. Don't worry I recovering fine. I'm glad that I had no broken bones in this accident.

I hate it when I do dumb stuff as an adult because you want to feel like you're young and nimble still! Glad I'm not the only one!
