At work this week we had health screenings. Since I work at a place that you are sitting for 8 hours with little breaks you can see the pounds just gathering around your body. So the company is promoting health living. By doing this they are also giving an incentive of $50 bucks after you have done these health screenings. Who doesn't want $50 dollars?
But much to my dismay, I got myself weighed, blood pressure checked, cholesterol, and my BMI. What does it all mean? I don't know but I was healthy in pretty much all areas except for my BMI. I have been blessed with short stature so that and my weight that I seem to not be able to lose makes BMI at the OVERWEIGHT category. AHHH! Really Overweight? I have never heard that word in my whole life. I was always the skinny girl. Now I'm not so skinny.
But what can I do? Mike says work out, my friends say eat good food. But the problem is that I love chocolate and other sweets. I work late the sweets keep me awake. I'm to tired to wake up and go to a gym and I don't want to pay for the day care at the gym. It's to cold to jump out of bed and go walking. Also to early and to tired. I love to swim but that is not very convenient. It also goes back to the gym and day care thing.
So I suppose I can only embrace my new found overweightness or you could say curves. And realize that I can only do so much. Maybe I can get a elliptical machine but that will have to do much convincing to Mike. Hopefully I can make some changes in my life that will make my BMI down. But I can't take human growth hormone or have my bones cut so they will make me taller. So I guess it's the weight loss. I just can't give up chocolate. I love it, let's face it I'm addicted.

Hey Rhiannon, I totally know what your talking about it being cold and hard to work out and then going to the gym you having to pay for a membership and a baby sitter doesn't sound worth it to me. plus we live so far from a gym it would cost us money in gas too! When we moved here (Washington) I started gaining weight so I knew I need to figure something out. Well I started counting my calories and dancing with Star in the morning. I dance for about 45 minutes to Jock Jams It really sounds crazy but I have lost 10lbs. To lose weight You have to eat right and workout. Don't worry about cutting your sweets out of your diet but rather eat less of them or find deserts that have less calories and fat. Well that is my advice. If I can do it you can too! Good luck.
