Surreal?

Yesterday we found out the Mike's Grandpa had passed away. He was 90 years old. He lived a good life. About a month ago he was really sick with pneumonia, he was in and out of the hospital. The last time he got sick he went to a rehabilitation center. He was doing good but within a week he was doing really bad.




In the morning Mike's dad told me that his dad wasn't doing to well. I didn't think that he would be gone the same day.




I remember the day Mike and I got married. Grandpa was so excited. He came up to me and said, " I need to know your birthday so that I can mark it down in my genealogy charts" He always had a smile on his face when came to dinner at Mike's parents house. Just last Monday my MIL took Jersey and Phoenix to see him. They of course love to perform for people if they will give them an audience. Since Grandpa wasn't going anywhere they performed. My Mother-in-law told me that Jersey just "wouldn't shut up" She told Grandpa lots of stories and sang to him. I thought it was very sweet of her to do that. I'm happy that my kids got to know him. I knew my Great Grandparents. I'm feel very lucky to have heard what they had to say before they died.
