Together

This mini vacation that Mike and I went on was so fun. It was weird not having the kids. It was even weirder to sleep with no interuptions in the night. We left the kids with Mike's sister Friday night and travelled down to Cedar City. We stopped at Taco Time in Nephi and that was the first time I was sad that I didn't have my kids. I honestly didn't know what to do with myself while I was waiting for my food. I didn't have any kids to say " Be quiet, sit down, come over here" So I sat in silence. That makes Mike really nervous. Then we were on our way singing in the car. We got to our motel around 10pm. It was the craziest thing. It was an old school mom and pop motel. Called the Knights Inn. It was cheap that's why we were there. It reminded me of the time my parents would take us on vacation and my parents were trying to get the most for there money so we would stay in places like the Knights inn. (Mom remember the Rip Van Winkle?) The thing I love about those little motels is that if you wanted to run away they have a fridge and microwave in the room just in case. They also always have the faint smell of cigarette smoke.
The next morning we got up and got ready to go to the graduations. We ate a huge breakfast at IHOP. We went to SUU and waited until it was time to start taking pictures. I wasn't bored at all. I had planned to read my Harry Potter book while Mike was working on the pictures but no, I helped out telling parents to not take pictures of their kids in a area that we had set up. It was nice not to have to be nice. I got to yell. I know that I don't have a booming yelling voice but it was nice to say I'm sorry no you are taking our business away. Like I cared. There was one big man that got me all fired up. I stood on my tippy toes holding up my hand to say no while he shouted at me. I thought how sad for you family that if they crossed your path they would be in big trouble.
After the graduations we took off for Wal-mart. I had every intention of making foil dinners and cooking smores. But as soon as we got our campsite Mike was talking about leaving the campgrounds to go find a Sports bar to watch the Jazz game. You know it was game 7. We couldn't miss it. After stuffing ourselves to the brim we left and went back to our campsite but when the AM radio wasn't working we called for help. Mike's friend Coby is a total JAZZ fan too, we asked him to give us the play by play so we could hear the end. Wow! what a game I'm so glad that the JAZZ won.

The next morning we went on a few hikes around ZION national park. It was so beautiful and nice and cool. I don't always like to be in nature but it was really wonderful especially on a Sunday to think that Heavenly Father made this beautiful world for us. It was nice to feel grateful.
