Our Valentine's weekend

On Friday I helped with Jersey's Valentine's party. I was planning on doing a craft with the kids but since it was short day. The children passed out their cards, ate a snack, cleaned up and the went home. So, so much for doing anything crafty, I'm OK though because it was fun to watch each child pass out their cards and treats. Jersey was thrilled that we would come. Phoenix made a friend and the two of them played in the kitchen area the entire time. They were singing and talking about all sorts of stuff. It was pretty cute.
Saturday morning I woke to breakfast in bed. I was not expecting anything from Mike. It was really sweet. We ate together before he had to go to work. Mike's mom and dad had also invited us for breakfast so we went over there later to have another feast. There was a ton of good food.

Mike and I had talked about taking the kids up to go skiing so after brunch we rested and then got ready to go to Snowbird. Saturday was Phoenix's official day on the hill. He was nervous but by the end he was having a good time. I also got to watch Jersey ski for the first time without any help. She did a great job. Since it was dark I wasn't able to get any video. But she is really fast. She has more to learn but I'm glad that both of them enjoy it. I even snowboarded. I was a little nervous at first because I didn't want to fall. The snow was perfect because it was fresh snow. When we went skiing it was just after it cleared up. I didn't want to stop but both children were complaining about being cold. Phoenix kept saying that he was going to find us a room at Snowbird. So that we could spend the night. I wasn't planning on that I was planning on some delicious Chili's takeout when I got home. We ate our food and stuffed ourselves silly with chocolate molten cakes. A good end for a good day

For President's day Mike was in charge of putting up flags in our neighborhood. The kids love when there is a flag and they had to get their picture taken. But for some crazy reason superheros and little pet shop always seem to make in our photos. HMMM... I need to work on that.

I love that they ski!! I can't even do that!! My kids need a hobby now that my pool will be gone this summer. I guess I should start sports or something!
