Oh what a night!!

I hope that everyone else had the best Halloween ever. I sure did. We started out our morning at Jersey's school for her Halloween party and parade. The party was a success. I was a nervous wreck because I'm the Room mom and I was worried that everyone would think it was lame. But they liked it and so did all the moms that came. Next week we can tackle the Thanksgiving Party.
Jersey was excited to be in her costume. She paraded around the gym so cute.
After school I tried for hours to get the kids to settle down and get some rest. With no avail it was mom who fell asleep. I couldn't keep my eyes open. I think it was because the kids were to excited to go Trick or Treating that they couldn't nap. I even made some excuse to go on a drive but as soon as we got out of the car Phoenix woke up. We drove past the new free standing Chick-fil-a that is at Jordan Landing and the kids were asking if we could go but the line was long. We parked the car to walk up and go in but they weren't technically open there were some employees passing out FREE Chick-fil-a sandwiches. SCORE!!!! We got some sandwiches and even though it was really hard to eat it with my braces on I just ignored the pain to eat it.
Then we got home to get ready for Trick or Treating. Phoenix didn't want to wear his helmet that goes to his costume he wanted to wear his Batman mask that he recently got. -Funny story- We were at Wal-mart and he found this mask. He put it on and wouldn't take it off. When it was time to check out I gave the mask to the cashier and there was no bar code. She said that we couldn't have it because she didn't know how much it was, neither did I. I told her it was ok we didn't need it but she took one look at Phoenix and said "You know, I will give it to you for a dollar, I looked at your little boy and he looked so sad" So I got the mask for a $1 and Phoenix won't leave home without it.-So back to the trick or treating. Phoenix was a Knight and Batman so he was a "DARK-KNIGHT" ha ha. He didn't wear the mask very long when we were trick or treating most likely because he couldn't really see or run fast. He loved the trick or treating he was would go to a house and say "trick or treat" and then he would run away saying "wohoo that was fun" as he was going to the next house. We made a few stops in our neighborhood and then headed off to Mike's sister Jen's house.
Jersey looked super cute as well. She wanted to have green hands and face. My little Elphaba! Once we put the make-up on her and her wig she didn't look like my Jersey. I told her that her dad wasn't going to even recognize her.
Both the children had tons of fun. Even Auntie Megan and Adam showed up to enjoy that tricking and treating. They came as Maria and Capt. VonTrapp. Very clever. After we made one around Jen's neighborhood we went and ate some food and then when the kids were ready Megan and Adam took the kids back out for a third round of treating.

(This is all the candy that the kids got while trick or treating. Mom and dad are so proud.)
This Halloween was one of the warmest ever. They stayed out until about 9pm. The weather here felt like an AZ Halloween. I loved it. It couldn't have been more perfect.

Your Halloween sounds like soooo much fun! I'm glad it was warm for you. I makes it easier when you don't have to design costumes around a coat.
BTW, I tagged you in my blog.
