runners log

6*24*09-Yesterday I made attempt to run. I walked more than I ran. Phe cried more than I wanted. Note to self put him in the stroller. I still went 1.64 miles according to the pedometer. Bottles of water were a good idea. Mike took me to get new running shoes. He liked my shoes so much he bought some for himself. We are the matching shoe couple.

6*25*09-Today, I took Jersey to school. Phe was still sleeping so I took this opportunity to do more running than walking today. Ran 20 minutes. I thought I could keep the asthma under control, but I was feeling really tight as I got closer to home. I hope my lungs will expanded more as I do more running. I'm tired of asthma holding me back. It's time to overcome something that has been my achilles heel for so long. Running shoes work like a dream. I'm lovin' it! Went 1.12 miles according to the pedometer. But I feel more burn since I ran more. Need to invest in some good sports bras.

{You might be wondering why I have blogged about running. One to keep track of my progress and just to remind me that I can really do it. Mike's sister ran in the Wasatch Back Relay this last weekend. All shapes and sizes were running. I have never ran in my life I actually thought people that ran were weird (sorry for judging) but I didn't think I could do it. I have been struggling to get motivated to do some exercise. It seems running is the new trend and since I'm a follower and I like to follow trends I thought I could give running a shot. I want to run in the same race Mike's sister did next year. She is putting together a team so Mike and I are both going to do it. I'm running a 5k at the end of the summer so it's time to train.
Since I love making lists and goals. (I just like to make a star next to my completed task.)
I made some goals:
1. I want to grow my hair out ( I know you might think this has nothing do with running, but I want a have a ponytail, weird but this is my goal)
2. I want to try not to buy any new clothes for a whole year. (I say try because it might be really hard since I'm a shopaholic, so I won't be buying any new shirts, pants, shorts, skirts, dresses and swimming suits.)
3. Lose 20 pounds
4. Run 6 miles without stopping (or more)
5. at least one extra 5k
I'm hoping that I can do it. Since I made this for all the world to see you can all check up on me and tell me or remind me that I can do it. }
This is how Rhiannon is going to get her Groove back!

You go girl! You can totally do it! I have faith in you. Maybe I should join you in these goals...all except the growing your hair out. :) Definitely the shopping one, and definitely running! Can't wait to hear about your progress! Too bad we can't be running buddies!

You can do it! Goals are always hard work but with time and effort you can do it. Way to go on all your running! 5k are fun and once you do one you want to keep doing them. My favorite one was in Arizona and News year Eve called midnight madness. Like I said I know you can accomplish these goals!
