BRACES!!!!!!!!

That is right I'm getting braces. It's been 16 years since I had them, why not? It's normal to get braces in the prime of your life, right?

One major reason I'm getting braces is that I have the money to do it. I have at work what is called a flex spending account. Basically I put money into it every month and then when I have a medical something I can use the money and not have to worry about paying out of my pocket. It's been nice to have since we have had to do some major work on Mike's mouth and Jersey's as well. I put a large amount of money on the card this year because I was thinking I was going to have a tubal litigation. But that didn't happen so now it almost the end of the year and we have some money that needs to be used or we lose it. Of course there are always the vain things that I want to do to myself. Boob lift, tummy tuck and maybe some botox but Alas the FSA doesn't not covering cosmetic procedures just necessary ones.

Second reason for the braces is, when I had my braces the first time they did an OK job but my teeth still weren't straight. I got the original braces a little to early and so I was still losing teeth. When the new teeth came in the Orthodontist didn't fix them so he left crooked teeth. Now after 16 years of complaining I'm going to fix it.

I will have braces for about 12 months. I thought it was funny because I was reading the pamphlet on getting braces as an adult and it was saying that I still eat what I wanted, smile and even still kiss. (Did you hear that Mike, I can still kiss you with braces) The Orthodontist was really nice and asking if I wanted to get invisalign or if I wanted to go the tradition route. I didn't want to have to pay more than I already was so I'm opting to have the good old fashion silver brackets. Let's just say awesome!

My friends at work think I'm having a mid-life crisis because I'm turning 30 but I don't think that. Well....maybe I do. Hopefully the it won't last long and I will feel tons better afterwards. Now when someone says "what did you do for your new decade of life?"

I will says "Braces!"
