Remember how the room started to overflow because of the water. The Mickey segment will now be a nightmare for me because of "this kid" named Phoenix.

This afternoon, I was chatting on the phone with my mom. We were talking about all sorts of stuff, when my battery died on my cell phone. Instead of saying I would call her back on my land line I proceed to talk on my cell phone while it was charging on the charger. I began to notice Phoenix taking water outside and dumping it on the flowers. I didn't see Jersey so I figured that she was helping Phoenix because (my thought) he couldn't think of that on his own.
Well after several minutes of this and watching completely, I ended my conversation with my mom. Jersey in fact was outside playing in the back not helping her brother like I had originally thought. I went to see what was going on with Phoenix only to find my bathroom completely covered in water. Not only was the floor wet but the cabinet and everything inside. I started to grab for towels but they had been soaked through. I had Jersey go downstairs to grab a laundry basket. When she came back upstairs she informed me that water was all over the basement.
Soon my towels were all wet. I called my neighbor to see if she could throw some towels over the fence for backup. I didn't know what to do laugh or cry about the whole thing. Yes, this was my fault for not being a better parent and yes it was my fault to be so naive to thinking that a almost 3 year-old would say out of stuff while I was on the phone. Phoenix just wanted to water the flowers.
Phoenix said to me "Mom are you going to spank my bum?" I felt bad saying yes, I took him to time out and after everything was cleaned up he came out and said "I'm sorry" and "I love you mom" I fell for it, the cheese of hearing my child say "I'm sorry and I love you." So instead of only doing 5 loads of laundry I had to add on a few more to get all the towels and bath rugs clean.
Then (you thought this was the end of my bad parenting day) I was changing the laundry downstairs and I come back upstairs to see Phoenix holding a pair of sewing scissors open ready to cut something. Oh no I thought what things has he done now? He hadn't do anything yet I caught him in the nick of time. He was about to cut out a car that was dangling from his basketball net. AHHHH!!!!! I have talked several times about wanting another kid. Um I think Phoenix is going to do me in with all these crazy antics.

oh my goodness!! floods are bad, especially when they are child caused. laugh. always laugh. :)
I thought Sicilee was bad. I guess if she is bad right now and only two, what will she be like when she is three. The flood thing does stink. My kids flood the floor but instead of telling me they close the door and I don't find out until I am downstairs doing laundry and my base ment floor is wet. Who knows how long it has been there. I feel for ya!

That is so so funny. You poor girl. I can't imagine. Phoenix is such a funny kid.
Oh the joys! What IS it about getting on the phone and the kids destroying the house? I've decided never to talk on the phone again! EVER! Okay, maybe not, but I always make sure I can walk around while on the phone because 100% of the time my kids get into trouble.
