Greatest Christmas ever

* (My mom's famous rolls, Well, now my famous rolls)

I think this year out of all the Christmases was a great year. I think because not only did the kids have a good time but so did I. I was able to get things done earlier then normal so it left us with the chance to spend more family time. That is something we don't get a lot of. We started off reading a Christmas story every night, that began December 1st. By Christmas Eve it had been such a routine that the kids were upset that their were no more Christmas stories. So it has given us the opportunity to continue by reading our scriptures at night before bed.
Now the weeks leading up to Christmas were a little frustrating because Jersey was changing her mind on a daily basis of what Santa was going to bring. She had said a Troy and Gabrielle dolls from High School musical but that soon changed to Bratz dolls. Mike doesn't like those dolls at all so we told her that Santa wasn't going to bring those. You can imagine the drama that was behind this announcement. I was feeling bad because Santa wasn't going to bring exactly what she wanted. But the look on her face when she saw the things that Santa did bring was so much better. She hasn't even mentioned the Bratz dolls.

Phoenix was so cute, to make the morning of opening presents last we let the kids open the toys as we go. Once Phoenix's race track was opened he was done opening presents. He just wanted to play with his cars.

After we opened presents Mike's parents came over to see what the kids received and have breakfast. It was nice for them to come and spend time with the kids.

After our leisurely morning we went to Mike's parents house for more present opening. With all the kids hyped on Christmas Joy's you can imagine the madness. Jersey was quite excited about getting a Hannah Montana doll and Princess Aurora Doll. She was quite spoiled. Phoenix was glad to get the Sheriff car from Carz he hasn't put it down since. I'm so grateful for all the many things that we received we are truly blessed.

Then two days later we received to large boxes from my mom and dad. They sent the kids some great things. Including a Buzz Lightyear and a Cabbage Patch doll for Jersey.

So cute, Rhi! I think it's hilarious when 'rents tell their kids what Santa is going to bring (ie. Santa not handing out Bratz dolls this year), even before Christmas comes 'round... as if moms and dads have a tight connection with Santa 24/7. I don't like Bratz dolls either. one of my little sisters has like, 15 of them. ugh.
