I love surgery

I don't really love surgery but it seems since 2006 I have had one every other year. Oh wait, I have had a surgery every other year. I know that some other people deal with surgery all the time.
Luckily this surgery is an out patient procedure that I can come out and go home.
This surgery is this time is my tonsils. I my throat has been really annoying for a long time. I knew something was up when I was getting strep throat more than once a month. Last year I went to an ENT that said that my tonsils looked bad but before I had surgery that they wanted me to do a sleep study that my insurance wasn't going to pay for. I had didn't think I needed a sleep study, just the surgery. Then I thought about the DR that took Phoenix's tonsils out and called there office to see what he thought. I had a feeling that he was going to be straight forward and say if I need them out then let's do it. So I went on Monday and Dr. Tagge looked at my tonsils saying they were enormous and that I had all classic signs of tonsillitis. He said that I should have had this done when I was a kid.
I wanted to schedule the surgery as soon as possible so that I could recover and get out and start training for this year race season. Friday is the big day. Mike is happy to take a day off to help me. I see some positives of getting me tonsils out.
Pampering
Weight loss
can't talk
eating pudding, jello and jamba juice.
A week off of work to relax.
(they did say more time off work but I can't do it, plus I just sit at work and don't talk)
So wish me luck, I hear this is worse than child birth, I didn't think child birth was all that bad.

I've never had surgery... unless you count my wisdom teeth, but surgery scares me. Good luck & here's to a speedy recovery!
