Missing my man

Mike said I'm not allowed to whine about him being gone but I am. I have only seen him once in last four days. I don't really count that seeing him either because he was changing my brakes on my car before he had to run off to work. I'm not to torn up about it but it's hard not having another adult around even if it's to have someone else to talk to or getting a good night's sleep.
Mike was first gone on Friday for a scout outing then when he got home he was informed that the canyon road would be closing and that he would need to get up to Snowbird before than. Then Sunday dropped some sick amounts of snow which made the canyon road close again. The reason for the closing is that they are doing avalanche control. So today so far there are no road closures (yet) I'm keeping my fingers cross so that we can see Mike.
Tonight is family fun night at Classic skating. (a benefit of my orthodontist) so I'm taking advantage of it and taking the family for some rollerskating. I have never seen Mike on roller skates and I'm looking forward to that. Maybe he will do some tricks? (look forward to pics)
I was expecting the kids to be a little crazy because Mike is gone but of course my kids have done wonderfully. Mom time has been fun.

I know the feeling with no husband around. Mine works for NASCAR and travels to races. So starting Valentine's Weekend thru Nov. 20th he is gone every Thurs-late Saturday with only 4 weekends where he has no race to go to. Makes for a very long 9 months! I usually get him for church on Sunday but that is it. Very dumb!

Have fun rollerskating! I used to love rollerskating!

I can't stand feeling like a single mom... and my toleration it has gotten much less since Jason finished school. How did I survive while he was in school, I do not know.

That would be tough, Ben's around all the time and I think I'd go nuts without his help! Yeah, definitely post of some pics of Classic Skating!
