Bye Bye 2008

It's sad to say goodbye to a year that I feel was a great year. The trials I faced help me become a better person. I feel more confident in myself. I have learned that it's OK to let things go that I can't control and just control those things that I can.
One thing that Mike and I are a little proud of, we went a whole year without cable. At first we didn't think we could do it but it got easier and easier as the year progressed. We believe that we became a stronger family because of it. We are now going to head into this year without cable as well.
Our New Year's Eve was OK. We made a great dinner with delicious brownies to follow. Mike was asleep by 10:30pm and the kids were out by 9pm. I stayed up watching the O.C. I just so happened to be watching a New Year's episode to ring in the new year. I thought it was funny that I was up and everyone was asleep. I heard fireworks and people ringing in the new year.
Yesterday, we went to the sledding hill in our neighborhood with Mike's family.
After freezing in the cold. Everyone came to our house and we made homemade pizza. It was great time for Mike's family come over. We were just missing Mike who had to work. It's OK though he had 2 days off before New Year's.
Cheers! to a New Year and everything that comes with it.
