On Saturday morning I was driving to work and I was listening to Christmas songs. A song came on that made me have a flashback from the days of yore.
The song took me back to the many times that we would sit around the T.V. watching channel 8 (in AZ) and hear Peter, Paul, and Mary songs. Their many Christmas songs and of course the most notable song to date that they sing "Puffy the Magic Dragon" of course since it was the holidays we were frequently interrupted by the telethon that was happening. Those people wanting us to be "friends of the program" and help donate to this public television programming.
Coming back to reality I started to laugh about this tradition. I was telling Mike about this thought and he said he had the same memory of sitting with his mom and dad and watching Peter, Paul and Mary. We had a good laugh.

i'm glad our parents are old and we have been blessed to be so cultured in folk artists.
Yeah, I don't remember that, but I love all the nostalgia involved with the season. Rylee & I belt out Christmas carols whenever we are driving lately, just like my Mom and I used to during the holidays when I was a kid. I love Christmas music!
