Last night the kids helped me with dinner. I usually not like their help because it is always an extra step. But I thought last night was a perfect meal for them to give me a hand. We made mini pizzas using refrigerated biscuits, pizza sauce, cheese and pepperonis. What delicious dish. Jersey and Phoenix kept talking about how on Ratatouille the rat Remi makes a meal. So they said they were the rats fixing the meal.
Also Phoenix said his first prayer on the food last night. I thought it was really cute. Phoenix is really into copying everything I do and say. Mike was sad when I told him that Phoenix had said the prayer. He wasn't home to hear it. It is funny to me sometimes how much my husband doesn't like to miss out on things with the kids. For instance I was talking to him about having a birthday party for Jersey and doing it the Saturday before her birthday. He said to me "well if you have the party on a weekend I will be unable to attend." I was thinking OK I can ask a friend to help me that is OK. But then he mentioned it again and I realized and said " Do you want me to plan a party for a time that you can attend?" He said Yes of course. Like I wasn't thinking about how he wanted to be there. And they say women are confusing.
I have to say one more quick story about Mike. He went to Wally World on Tuesday night to buy some balls for scouts and in the process was thinking about how he need jeans. When I came home that night after work he proceed to tell me how he found jeans at Wal-Mart for $14.00. He was so excited. He said "and look they don't even look bad at all." He told me that he won't buy jeans anywhere else from now on.

I bought Damon a pair of jeans for 8 bucks at walmart back for that Sweater Christmas party we went to. He of course wore them high and tight that night. But now he lowers them to his usual position and he says he is so over all his old jeans he'd spend a fortune on.......his are called rustlers!!! Frankly I am so over it too......I shop at Walmart and Target or Ross, and I still think I have cute outfits most of the time. I love the pizza idea. My kids are so into Remi too, and they love to cook with me, but it does make it harder huh!!!
What a cute mom- I can't wait for nights like that when the kids are older. The pizza looks really yummy!
