Bring on the snow

WOW it's Febuary already! It's crazy how things just go by. Yesterday was one of the biggest snow storms that has passed through here in awhile. We had Stake Conference and we made the choice to go, while driving there it was completly white on the roads. We saw a semi-truck jacked knife on the road. Before we left for church Mike shovelled 3 feet of snow off of our driveway. The snow was coming down and the wind was howeling. After we got out of church we thought it would be fun to take the kids on a drive through the snow. So we went into a field and got stuck. The snow was so deep we weren't going anywhere even with 4 wheel drive. Mike walked home to our house and got some help. While the kids and I were waiting in the car a neighbor saw that were stuck so they tried to help but nothing was really working. The car was sitting on a bunch of snow. Mike came back with help and the neighbor began digging us out. Finally after an hour we were able to get out of the area.

When we got home we were planning as a family to shovel off our driveway but another neighbor had used his snow blower to clear it off. I did clear off the stairs.

Jersey and I took the time to play in the snow. Mike made sledding hill in the front yard. IF you can believe it I haven't ever been sledding. It was quite the experience. I realized that I'm a little to heavy for that kind of fun. It's for little children only.

Oh and yes it's Febuary and I still have my Christmas lights and because I'm so lazy they are still plugged in. They are red so we can say they are for Febuary right?
