Today I was able to serve some people. First was my friend in my ward. She needed to take her son to the Dr. so I watched her two girls. One 9 months and the other 4 1/2. I also got to serve my sister-in-law. She use to watch my kids on a weekly basis and after I changed my schedule at work, Jersey and her son, Miles cry because they don't play with each other a lot. She needed to go to the dentist so I watched Miles while she went he is 3 1/2. I also have been watching my other nieces because they are off track right now so they come and hang out. They are 9 and 7 years old. Yes we had a full house. It was pretty crazy especially when it came down to lunch. I had 12 pieces of bread and no back up. So I planned enough slices for everyone.
I came to the realization today that 7 kids is a crazy number of kids. When Mike and I were first married I wanted 8. Um yeah, that number has slowly dwindle down to 2. I'm not saying that moms that have or for those of you that grew up with a large family that it is bad, I'm just saying I don't think that is my cup of tea. So if all of those kids today were mine it would have gone like this in birth order. 9, 7, 4 1/2, 4 1/2, 3 1/2, 2, 9months. After everyone left my kids wanted just to cuddle with their mom. I have better respect for those moms out there that do this everyday. I have to say though crazy as it was it went very smoothly.

I'm so glad you finally left a comment on my blog! I've been waiting to hear from you so I could read your blog...I never knew your blog site. How are you? It was so fun to stay with you and hang out with your family! I love you guys and cant wait to see you soon!!
i think it'd be lots different if you had seven kids spaced out a little more AND they were your's... but it's still a lot of kids. i think having 8 siblings is no big deal but to think of birthing and raising that many kids... are you crazy!?!? :)
kudos to you! i bet you really helped those moms!
it's funny, when the chaos leaves, your few seem sooo easy to handle and such a breath of fresh air! i think it's healthy to do that every once in a while so you appreciate what and who you have!
Way to go, Rhiannon! Ya, it's funny to take a step back after 'the storm' subsides and look at your own kids and have that, "I Love You." Moment :)
