Can't Handle it!
My Internet that is. I'm dying by the slowness of it all. We have had dial-up way to long. I was so excited on Wednesday we were almost in the 21st century of having high speed Internet and getting to move faster on the Internet. (I can play a whole spider solitaire game while the computer is loading a page) When the cable guy came he didn't seem to bright. I asked questions like will you have to tear up my concrete to put the cable line down? Or how it going to all work with installation? He looked at me like I was the retard. So he gave the classic line "I need to go call my supervisor and tell him the situation" What you can't tell me? So he leaves the house and then comes back with the craziest cock and bull story about how the concrete is in the way. They can't leave the cable line exposed so they are going to have to bury the line and that is someone else. I listened thinking that they would be able to come that day. Much to my dismay he had to call someone else and see when they were going to come. The funny thing was he had one of those walkie-talkie phones and he was in the house but I never heard the people respond. Then he came back with a crazy date. November 15th! I was shocked you mean sir that the people that put in the buried cable line won't be able to come until November 15th? He answered "UM yeah" I said that was stupid. Honestly is there one person working in that department? So I sent the weird cable guy on his way. After calling Mike and asking what I was to do, he said I should have argued? What? Why? the guy gave me an answer and it sounded pretty definite to me. Well Mike went ahead and cancelled the cable service and we called another company that has come out here before called Digis. They are a satellite Internet provider. The last time they came they said that we couldn't have it because other houses were in the way of our signal. Well I didn't really want a big satellite dish sitting on the very peak of my house. At this point I will make it happen even if my house looks weird. I can't handle the dial-up experience anymore. You might be wondering why we can't have or should have just got DSL. The "great" builder that built our house never connected the proper wires to the main subdivision so that we could get DSL. Yeah for us. Hopefully soon I will be surfing the Internet so fast that it will take half the time to post things on my blog or hey even look at my e-mail at home.

Rhiannon! I can't see your blog! I am so bummed because I want to know what you are up to. I hope things are going great & I'll check back soon! ♥ ya!
I feel so sad for you with your internet problems. It really makes such a huge difference to have a fast connection through cable. I ♥ it because pages always pop up so fast and I can do lots of stuff at once without bogging things down. I really hope they can get everything done for you soon because I used to do dial-up & I feel your pain. :(
