No TV

So we have been out of TV for a week and a half. It has been a real eye opener to how much we watch each day. I also realized how much I depend on the TV as a babysitter as I clean the house, take a shower and get ready for work. I realized that I don't spend enough time with my kids on the ground playing with them. I think of all the other things that I have accomplished during this time with no TV. I have done a lot of crafts, reading and reorganizing.
But I do realize that I miss the unwind time that I have when I come home from work watching my favorite shows and just doing nothing. Mike and I have to communicate a little more to pass the time before going to bed. I would like to say that we would go to bed earlier than midnight but that never happened.
NOW IT'S back! I'm sure that these life lessons that I have learned over the last week won't stick but it was good to learn what I could be doing if I wasn't watching TV!
